Vaping is the act of inhaling an aerosol produced by an electronic device, typically called an e-cigarette or vape pen, which heats a liquid containing nicotine, flavorings, and other chemicals into a vapor that is inhaled into the lungs.
Essentially, vaping is a way to consume nicotine without burning tobacco like in traditional cigarettes, but instead by heating a liquid.
The vaping device contains a battery and a heating element (a coil) and a liquid reservoir.
When an inhale occurs airflow then triggers a sensor to heat up the coil and vaporize the e-liquid.
Disposable vapes have a prefilled amount of e-liquid and once the e-liquid runs out the device is then disposed of.
A refillable device uses either a tank or a pod system with coils inside.
In tank systems you replace coils and on pod systems you just replace the pods.
You refill the tank and/or pod depending on the device with e-liquid and buy coils, pods, and e-liquid as needed.
Everyone will have a different preference for what they like, however a disposable is a good place to start. If you are inexperienced, using a disposable vape removes the need to keep track of juice or pods to refill.

Choosing the right nicotine strength varies from person-to-person and how often you vape or use other nicotine products.

Freebase e-liquids contain less nicotine than nicotine salt e-liquids.
Nicotine salts have a faster absorption rate due to the higher PH and natural acids added in.
Some people say that nicotine salt e-liquids are smoother than freebase e-liquids, but it is important to realize that everyone is different and has their own opinions.
For safety reasons please do not use nicotine salts in a sub-ohm device (Devices that have lower ohm ratings and are meant for higher wattages).
Results of using nicotine salts in a sub-ohm device may cause permanent damage to the throat and lungs and could result in hospitalization
A burnt taste usually means the coil needs to be replaced or the device is being used without enough e-liquid.
Another possible reason is using a high-watt charger for too long.
Your vape should be charged using a 15w or less charger (think USB to USB-C with no charging block connected).

Every device varies for cleaning and maintenance, but for pod systems we recommend taking the pod out of the device, wiping the bottom of the pod with a tissue or paper towel, and wiping the pod well (where the pod sits in the device).
If there is debris in the pod well, use a Q-tip to pick up all the debris and extra e-liquid.
For box mods, remove batteries if possible from the device, unscrew the tank from the mod itself, take a tissue and wipe the bottom connector of the tank and then take a Q-tip and clean the connection point on the mod.
Use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) with a paper towel, tissue, or Q-tip and clean the battery terminals to help minimize corrosion as well as ensure good clean contact points.
For pod devices, clean the bottom of the pod and the pod well.
Replace the pod and enjoy.
For box mods remove the tank from the device if the e-liquid is not drained, place down a stack of paper towels and remove your coil, the juice will then drain out of the tank.
Once drained check the o-ring gaskets on the coil as well as on either side of the glass dome.
If there is no wear and tear on the o-ring of the coil, prepare a new coil unless the coil you just removed is already new.
Replace the o-ring seals on either side of the glass dome, put the tank back together, ensure that all parts are properly fit and secured.
Fill with juice, let sit for eight to ten minutes and enjoy.
The best way to ensure freshness of e-liquid is to make sure your cap is secured properly and to keep it in a dry area at room temperature.
Please avoid storing e-liquid in direct sunlight to ensure maximum freshness.
Before you use any sort of battery, especially a Lithium-ion battery, ensure that the terminals are not corroded, there are no obscure bulges or bumps within the battery, and the outer shell is not cracked or broken.
To keep and maintain positive battery proficiency keep the battery in a dry area away from the heat or cold and out of sunlight.
Remove the battery from the charger when charge is completed.

There are two types of pod systems, one with fixed coils and the other has replaceable coils.
Fixed coil pods tend to leak less and are usually easier maintenance compared to replaceable coil pods that can run higher wattages but tend to leak more and therefore require more maintenance.
A box mod is a device that runs off of an 18650 Li battery, adjustable wattage as well as they usually use a tank system.
Box mods run sub-ohm coils meaning they run higher wattages and freebase e-liquid which is usually a lower nicotine concentration level.
